N-acetylcysteine (NAC)
A key component of BioShield, NAC is a precursor to L-cysteine that results in GSH elevation biosynthesis. NAC increases GSH conjugation and is a potent antioxidant/free radical scavenger. NAC can be found in protein-rich foods such as chicken, turkey, eggs, yogurt, and legumes.
Calcium D-Glucarate (CDG)
Inhibits β-glucuronidase, enhancing glucuronidation conjugation. CDG is in cruciferous vegetables or vegetables from the Brassicaceae family.
Sulforaphane (SFN)
An isothiocyanate found in cruciferous vegetables; inhibits CYP450 and induces Phase II.
Hesperidin
A flavanone in citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, pomelo); inhibits CYP450 and induces Phase II.
Grapefruit Extract
It contains the compound naringenin, which inhibits CYP450 and induces Phase II.
